TREB Interboard Program -- 2006 Update

Interboarding allows TREB Members to list properties on another participating Board's MLS System for a fee. TREB is a participant as an "OPEN Board" in the Province-wide Interboarding Program.

OPEN BOARDS will accept listings for real estate wherever situate, from TREB Members.

CLOSED BOARDS will accept listings from TREB Members only if the real estate is situated outside that Board's jurisdictional boundaries/territory.

To date, Interboarding services are available to all Members of the Boards listed on the revised Interboard Status & Listing Fees list below.

TO PLACE A LISTING ON A RECIPROCATING BOARD'S MLS SYSTEM, Members are to provide TREB's MLS Processing Department with the following:

1. A MLS Data Information Sheet for the Board the listing is to be placed on. Forms for all Boards may be obtained by calling TREB's MLS Processing Department (416) 443-8126. The Listing Broker is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the information, and the receiving Board has the right to return the listing for correction.
2. A photograph or sketch of the property which is acceptable to the other Board.
3. Proof that the property is also listed on TREB's MLS System (i.e. a print-out of the listing on TREB's MLS System)
4. Photocopy of TREB's MLS Listing Agreement.
5. A Firm Member's money order or VISA payment in the amount required, payable to the Board the listing is to be placed on.

Upon receipt, TREB will forward the listing package to the reciprocating Board. It is the Member's responsibility to ensure that all required information and documents are in the listing package.

When Interboarding a Listing TREB Members should keep in mind:

• the Listing Broker is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the information, and the receiving Board has the right to return the listing for correction.
• all details of commission payable must be specified on the listing.
• any dispute between Brokers is to be resolved in accordance with the MLS Rules and Regulations of the Board to which the Listing Broker belongs. Any subsequent appeals are to be made to OREA.
• all negotiations for the sale of the property are to be conducted through the Listing Broker

In addition to reporting the sale on TREB'S MLS System, the Listing Broker is also obligated to notify TREB'S MLS Processing Department by faxing (416) 443-2679 information of the sale or change in the status of an Interboarded Listing. TREB will then notify the Board where the listing has been placed through Interboarding.
